4-wire Conventional Beam Smoke Detector With 8” Reflector
The Honeywell System Sensor BEAM1224 smoke detector features a single-ended reflective design, making it easier to install than dual-ended projected beam detectors. Alignment is quickly accomplished via the incorporated optical sight and a two-digit signal strength meter. Another advantage is that the BEAM1224 can operate in temperatures ranging from –22°F to 131°F. This means it can be used in open areas to provide early warning in environments where temperature extremes may exceed the capability of other types of smoke detectors. When one of the two Acclimate settings on the detector is selected, it will automatically adjust its sensitivity using advanced software algorithms to choose the optimum sensitivity for the specific environment.

Surface Mounting Kit For Use With Reflective Projected Beam Smoke Detectors
The BEAMSMK allows reflected beam detectors to be mounted when surface wiring is used. For proper operation of the beam detector, the surface mount box must be securely mounted to ensure no subsequent movement of the beam detector will occur after the installation is completed, and to ensure there is line of sight between the transmitter/receiver unit and the reflector. Multi-mounting Kit For Use With Reflective Projected Beam Smoke Detectors
The BEAMMMK allows reflected beam detectors and reflectors to be mounted to either a vertical wall or the ceiling. The kit allows for additional alignment range in cases where the detector and reflector cannot be mounted within 10° of each other. The kit includes the hardware necessary to mount either a single transmitter/receiver unit or a single reflector. If the transmitter/receiver and the reflector require additional alignment range two kits are required. The kit includes:

Long-range Kit For Use With Reflective Projected Beam Smoke Detectors
The BEAMLRK allows reflected beam detectors to be installed at separations between 230 and 328 feet (70 to 100 meters). At these distances, four 8” × 8” reflectors must be used to provide enough reflected infrared light. This kit includes 3 additional reflectors with new test scale legends. The reflector included with the transmitter/receiver unit is the fourth reflector to be used.
