Intelligent And Advance – Photoelectric Smoke Detector

Part of the Series 300 range of conventional detectors, the 2351/EIA photoelectric smoke detector acts conventionally and thinks intelligently. It incorporates an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and a state-of-the-art optical chamber for efficient and accurate fire detection with high resilience to non-fire environmental influences. Its performance can be optimised by selecting from one of three preset alarm thresholds for greater stability within its installation environment. The 2351/EIA is backward compatible with the Series 100 detector bases, providing a facility to upgrade and extend existing installations.

Conventional – Multi-criteria Photoelectric Smoke/thermal Detector

Part of the Series 300 range of conventional detectors, the 2351/TEM photoelectric smoke/thermal detector successfully pushes the boundaries of existing conventional detector technology. It incorporates an optical chamber and a thermal element which are continually monitored by an on-board processor by using algorithms developed specifically for the unit. An alarm signal is only enabled in the detector once the processor is satisfied that an incipient fire has been detected. The 2351/TEM is backward compatible with the Series 100 detector bases, providing a facility to upgrade and extend existing installations.

Plug-in Detector Base

This B401 plug-in detector base is used with System Sensor smoke and heat detector heads. The capability of plugging these detectors into a variety of special bases makes them more versatile than equivalent direct-wired models. The B401 base is intended for use in 2-wire systems, with screw terminals provided for power and remote annunciator connections.

Conventional Relay Base (12V Latching)

The B312/RL has been designed to provide interfacing between a Series 300 detector and a 12V fire system or security system that require an external contact to activate an ancillary piece of equipment. The relay is controlled directly from the detector. Therefore, in an alarm condition both the detector and relay base will latch into alarm, and can only be reset by removing the supply voltage from the detector. The base can be used with 4 wire security systems that have a reset facility.

B324/RL

Conventional Relay Base (24V Latching)

The B324/RL has been designed to provide interfacing between a Series 300 detector and a 24V fire system or security system that require an external contact to activate an ancillary piece of equipment. The relay is controlled directly from the detector. Therefore, in an alarm condition both the detector and relay base will latch into alarm, and can only be reset by removing the supply voltage from the detector. A break-off tab allows the base to be connected to a range of fire control panels. This tab should be broken when there is little current flow or no current limiting resistor such as when used as a stand-alone system powered by a 24V supply.
