Photoelectric Smoke Detectors

The S200A photoelectric smoke detector has a completely new detection chamber design which delivers improved responsiveness, reduced sensitivity changes caused by settling dust, and reduced false alarms from ingress of insects and other debris. The plug-in unit uses sophisticated processing circuitry with smoothing filters to help eliminate transient environmental noise conditions that can cause unwanted alarms. The devices are managed by embedded software running complex algorithms that further improve resilience to false alarms and improve detection speed.

Photoelectric Smoke/Thermal Multi-Criteria Fire Detectors

The S200A multi-criteria, photo thermal detector uses thermal assistance to the core photoelectric smoke detector to give enhanced false alarm immunity and faster response to a wide range of incipient fires. The plug-in unit combines two separate sensing elements that are managed by embedded software to act as a single unit. The HM-PTSE conforms to EN54-7, a 58°C fixed temperature and rate of rise thermal assistance conforming to EN54-5.

Heat Detector

The HM Series Advanced Intelligent Thermal Sensors are plug-in type fire sensors that use a single thermistor sensing circuit to provide early warning of developing fires, together with addressable communication with the fire panel. The HM-RHSE, HM-RHSE-I provides fixed 58°C and rate-of-rise (10°C / minute) temperature sensing (Class A1R). The HM-FHSE, HM-FHSE-I provides fixed 58°C temperature sensing (Class A1S).

The HM Series Advanced Intelligent Thermal Sensors are plug-in type fire sensors that use a single thermistor sensing circuit to provide early warning of developing fires, together with addressable communication with the fire panel. The HM-FHSE provides fixed 58°C temperature sensing (Class A1S).

Thermal Sensor

This range incorporates the new digital Series 200 Advanced Protocol for greater control, configurability and device management, whilst enabling optimisation as per the location and use of the building. The 52051E and 52051HTE fixed temperature analogue addressable sensors incorporate low-mass thermistors and microprocessor technology for fast response and linear temperature sensing. The 52051RE uses the same thermistor and microprocessor technology to provide an alarm when the rate of rise in temperature exceeds 10°C/minute or if the temperature exceeds a threshold of 58°C.

Multi-Criteria, Multi-Sensor Photo Thermal Infra Red (PTIR) Detector

The 22051TLE Multi-Criteria, Multi-Sensor Photo Thermal Infra Red (PTIR) detector is the environmentally-friendly alternative to the outdated ionisation detector. PTIR moves the goalposts in the fight against false alarms in the core detector space by delivering enhanced false alarm immunity. It also offers better performance over the alternative technologies of dual angle or dual wavelength optical detectors and photo-thermal detectors.

Intelligent Non-Relay Photoelectric Duct Smoke Detector

The InnovairFlex Series are the only duct smoke detectors flexible enough to fit configurations from square to rectangular and everything in between. These intelligent, non-relay photoelectric duct smoke detectors feature pivoting housing capable of mounting to a round or rectangular duct. They can be customised to meet local codes and specifications without additional wiring.

These units sense smoke even in challenging conditions, operating in airflow speeds of 1.5m/s to 20.3 m/s, temperatures of -20° C to 70° C, and a humidity range of 0-95% (non-condensing).

Addressable Optical Smoke Beam Detector

The MI-LPB2 is an addressable reflector-type linear optical beam smoke detector operates primarily on the principle of light obscuration utilising an Infra-Red beam and is particularly appropriate for protecting buildings with large open spaces such as warehouses, atriums etc. This combined transmitter/receiver unit can be directly connected to an analogue loop circuit. Alignment of the detector is simplified with the aid of the detector’s ‘gunsight’ targeting device.

Manual Call Point

The HM-MCP-GLASS Call Point is designed to provide a manual alarm interface to Morley EN ’s fire alarm control panel. This addressable break glass manual call point has a simple rotary decade switch at the rear of the unit for addressing. A specialist test key may be inserted into the bottom of the unit to lower the glass and release the micro-switch and thus a full functional test is achieved. Installation efficiency, compliance with the latest standards are at the heart of this call point.

Universal Hinged Cover & Breakable Cover Seal

Fitting a transparent hinged cover to a call point provides additional protection from accidental operation and nuisance alarms, particularly useful in high traffic areas such as stairwells and corridors in schools and public buildings. With the addition of the hinged cover seal, which consists of a breakable polypropylene tie down, the incidence of malicious false alarms can also be reduced, as to operate the device the seal must first be broken. This will deter the casual vandal whilst the device remains operable to the more determined user.

Isolator Base

The System Sensor isolator base is designed for use with all System Sensor 200 analogue addressable detectors. It prevents an entire communications loop from being disabled when a short circuit occurs. It will automatically restore the entire loop when the cause of the short circuit is corrected. Up to 20 devices may be isolated per base, depending on the device type.

Addressable Monitor Modules

These modules are used with the Morley-IAS intelligent fire alarm control panels to provide a single or dual input circuit from external devices. Each input is continuously monitored for normal, open circuit and alarm conditions. Changes to the status of the input circuits are communicated to the panel where the appropriate actions may be undertaken. The modules each use a unique mechanical design allowing for mounting either in a wall box (M200E-SMB) or on a DIN rail (using M200E-DIN).

Monitor Module

The MI-MM3E-S2 monitor module can be installed in a single gang junction box directly behind the monitored unit. Its small size and light weight allow it to be installed without rigid mounting (see Figure 1). The MI-MM3E-S2 is intended for use in intelligent, two-wire systems where the individual address of each module is selected using rotary decade switches. It provides a two-wire initiating circuit for normally open contact fire alarm and security devices.

Isolator Module

The loop isolator module is used on the Morley-IAS intelligent fire alarm control panels to protect the system against wire-to-wire short circuits on the analogue addressable loop wiring. The fault isolator modules should be placed between groups of sensors on the loop wiring to protect the loop if a short circuit fault occurs. If a short circuit fault occurs, the two isolators located either side of the short circuit fault will automatically sense the voltage drop, open their switches and remove the devices from the rest of the loop.

Addressable Control Output Module

The Morley-IAS MI-DCMO control output module is used with the ZX series of intelligent control panels to provide either a single alarm circuit or Form C relay. It can be used to operate dry contacts for door holders, air handling unit shut down or other similar functions. Optionally, the module can be used to supervise wiring to the output load providing monitoring of the external load voltage or power supply. Each MI-DCMO uses one of the 99 possible module addresses available on a loop.

Dual Input/Single Output Addressable Module

The MI-D2ICMO dual input/single output modules are used with the Morley-IAS intelligent fire alarm control panels to provide a dual input circuit from external devices and a single relay control output circuit. Each input is continuously monitored for normal, open circuit and alarm conditions. Any change in the status of the input circuits are communicated to the panel where the appropriate actions may be undertaken. A single pole volt-free changeover relay is available for control of external devices or circuits.

Addressable Output Modules

The Morley-IAS MI-D240CMO control output module is used with the Morley-IAS intelligent fire alarm control panels to provide management of 240Vac loads. The module is loop-powered device controlling an unsupervised double pole relay output with one normally open and one normally closed contact. The output relay is a bistable device, latching in either the on or the off state on command from the fire alarm control panel.

Addressable Zone Monitor Module

The MI-DCZRM addressable zone monitor module allows a zone of non-addressable devices to communicate with a Morley-EN protocol analogue addressable system. The module monitors a zone of two-wire non-addressable devices. Each MI-DCZRM uses one of 99 available module addresses on a loop. A fault signal will be transmitted to the panel in case of an open circuit or short circuit on the non-addressable zone wiring or when the external fault input is pulled low (can be used for power supply monitoring).
